3 President’s Report—President
Ray Hanna welcomed the newly
elected members of the Board of
Governors, as well as Meredith
Peabody, the newest public member. He then presented a gift
from the Board of Governors to
Gregory Dean Hague for his
achievement of the highest score
on the February 2010 Arizona
bar examination.
3 Receipt and Certification of
Election Tellers Report—The
Board voted unanimously to
receive and certify the Election
Tellers Report.
The newly elected Board
members are: District 1 (Apache,
Coconino, Mohave and Navajo
Counties) – Whitney
Cunningham (incumbent);
District 2 (Yavapai County) –
Christopher W. Jensen; District 3
(Gila, Graham and Greenlee
Counties) – Bryan B. Chambers;
District 4 (Cochise County) –
Jana E. Flagler; District 5 (Pima
and Santa Cruz Counties) – Dee-Dee Samet (incumbent), Amelia
Craig Cramer (incumbent) and
Michael J. Crawford (
incumbent); District 7 (La Paz and
Yuma Counties) – Jim D. Smith
(incumbent); District 8 (Pinal
County) – Richard T. Platt,
(incumbent). Maricela Meza will
automatically serve as a voting
member of the Board during her
year as president of the Young
Lawyers Division.
3 Election of 2010-2011
Officers—The board congratulated Alan P. Bayham Jr. on
becoming president and Joseph
A. Kanefield on becoming president-elect of the State Bar of
Arizona. For the 2010-2011 year,
the board elected Amelia Craig
Cramer as first vice president,
Whitney Cunningham as second
vice president, and Richard T.
Platt as secretary/treasurer.
3 Appointment of ABA House of
Delegate—The board reappoint-
ed Jimmie D. Smith to serve as a
State Bar Delegate in the ABA
House of Delegates.
