Cindy Villanueva, an intellectual property attorney, will represent Lewis Roca Rothgerber Christie LLP and the Los Abogados Board at the 2017
Collaborative Bar Leadership Academy. Her
practice focuses on trademarks, copyrights and
rights of publicity. She is a member of the firm’s
Diversity Committee and serves on the board of
directors of Los Abogados, Arizona’s Hispanic
Bar Association, and the Florence Immigrant &
Refugee Rights Project.
Steptoe & Johnson LLP partner Tim Overton
joined the 2017 “Fellows Program” class for the
Leadership Council on Legal Diversity. He
will participate in a landmark program created to
identify, train and advance the next generation of
leaders in the legal profession.
Maria Hubbard, an associate with the Phoenix
office of Polsinelli, was selected for participation in the Hispanic National Bar Association
2017 Latina Leadership Academy. She is one
of 50 Latina lawyers selected across all sectors of
the legal profession to participate.
Margrave Celmins, Scottsdale, announced Laura
Morrison Trujillo was certified by the State Bar
of Arizona as an Estate and Trust Law Specialist.
Mental Health America announced Chick
Arnold, of Frazer Ryan Goldberg & Arnold
LLP, was inducted as the first member of the
Arizona Mental Health Hall of Fame. He was
also the initial member of the Arizona Fiduciary
Hall of Fame, and is a member of the Maricopa
County Bar Association Hall of Fame.
Osborn Maledon, Phoenix, partner Mary
O’Grady was named Benchmark Top 250 Women
in Litigation 2017, the only Arizona attorney
recognized. As a former Arizona solicitor general, she recently completed her term as a defense
counsel for the Arizona Independent Redistricting Commission. She focuses her practice on
appeals, civil litigation and administrative law.
She was recognized for her “expertise on public
law issues, most notably representing the state of
Arizona and public officials in both state and federal court.”
Jones Skelton & Hochuli PLC announced that
partner Don Myles was elected the 2017-2018
President-Elect of the Federation of Defense &
Corporate Counsel (FDCC) Board of Directors. His leadership positions within the FDCC
include Secretary/Treasurer, Vice President,
Chairman of the Professional Liability Committee, and Chair of the Extra-Contractual Liability
Committee. He focuses his practice in the areas
of bad faith, insurance coverage and fraud, professional liability, and wrongful death and personal injury defense.
Morgan Johnson was accepted into the Doctor
of Physical Therapy Program at NAU and
began the program in August. A graduate of the
University of Arizona College of Law, he had
practiced in the public finance group at Kutak
Rock and currently works with the One Medical
Group in Scottsdale.
