Message from the Convention Chairs
Dear Colleagues,
Welcome to the 2013 State Bar Convention. We join State Bar President
Amelia Craig Cramer, Bar staff, our many wonderful speakers and other
volunteers in thanking you for your attendance and support.
The theme of this Convention is Serving Justice. Thank you for joining
us in this celebration honoring our courts, our justices and judges, and
the important part that an independent judiciary plays in ensuring
maintenance of the rule of law in our state and our nation.
Every year the State Bar strives to educate, inspire, bring colleagues together, and support the wider community. This year is no different, but
we hope you will find it better than ever. With more than 45 seminars,
nationally known speakers, unique social and networking opportunities, and an amazing silent auction benefiting Arizona Foundation for
Legal Services & Education (aka “Arizona Bar Foundation”), we hope
this Convention will be a professional highlight for you.
In planning this year’s Convention, we have diligently pursued our
shared goal of delivering programs and speakers most relevant to your
practice needs and professional aspirations. We strive to keep the State
Bar the foremost “go to” resource for you and your practice. Throughout
the Convention, and in the months to follow, we welcome you to contact
us with any comments, questions, or suggestions you can provide to
ensure that your State Bar meets, and surpasses, your expectations.
The State Bar’s ongoing commitment to technology will be front and
center at this year’s Convention. So, in addition to a wider variety of
seminar topics across more varied practice areas, you can expect engaging, timely and useful seminar presentations employing modern and
cutting-edge methods and techniques. We are reducing paper and increasing the use of technology. We even have a Convention App to keep
you apprised of daily activities and pertinent information. You’ll be able
to download our app and place the icon on your smartphone or tablet
between “Angry Birds” and “LinkedIn,” just so it’s easy to find! Here is
the link to download the app –
