practice primarily focuses on defending and
asserting creditors’ rights in state, federal and
bankruptcy court.
Jones, Skelton & Hochuli added five new
attorneys: Amelia Esber (general civil litiga-
tion, transportation defense, and medical mal-
practice and nursing home defense); Joel
Habberstad (transportation and general liability
defense); Sean Moore (professional liability and
insurance bad faith); Dillon Steadman (profes-
sional liability, bad faith, and general civil liabil-
ity); and Rachel Werner (general civil litigation
and insurance defense, employment law and
government liability).
Zoning and land use attorney Dustin Jones
joined Polsinelli. He represents developers in
obtaining land use permits in complex commercial real estate deals. He will practice out of the
firm’s Phoenix and New York offices, and he
serves as a full-time faculty member in Cornell
University’s Department of City and Regional
Planning, where he is a senior lecturer on
zoning and complex land use issues. He was
recently named Associate Director of Cornell
University’s Baker Program in Real Estate, a
two-year master’s degree program.
Monica Thompson joined the Phoenix office
of Polsinelli as an associate practicing in the
area of insurance recovery. She graduated from
the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law,
where she was on the Law Journal for Social
Justice, and earned her Masters of Social Work
from ASU and her B. A. from the University of
California, Berkeley.
Attorney Will Pew joined Hecker PLLC, a
Tucson law firm. The firm’s practice focuses on
general corporate and business law. Previously,
Pew worked for CB Richard Ellis in New York
City engaging with Fortune 500 companies
focused primarily on commercial lease acquisitions and dispositions.
