Roxanne K. Song Ong, recently retired chief
presiding judge of the Phoenix Municipal
Court, was the recipient of the 2014 Judge
Bob Jones Memorial Award for excellence in
judicial education by the American Judges
Association. The judge was awarded the 2014
State Bar Committee on Minorities and Women
in the Law Award for outstanding achievement
in advancing equal opportunity in the legal pro-
fession. She received the 2014 YWCA Tribute
to Leadership Award for Public Service and was
also named “One of the 25 Most Influential
Minority Business Leaders in Arizona” by
Arizona Business Magazine. She was elected the
2014 President of the National Conference of
Metropolitan Courts and was inducted into
the Maricopa County Bar Association’s Hall of
Fame in 2013.
