Judicial Advisory Boards
Application Deadline: March 23, 2016
Purpose: Many cities within Arizona have
judicial advisory boards. These boards evaluate
and make recommendations with regard to the
selection of the best qualified individuals for
the position of presiding or associate city judge
or magistrate. These boards also evaluate the
performance of incumbent judicial members
applying for reappointment. The boards meet
Openings: There is one opening on each of
the JABs listed below. Applicants must be active
members of, and in good standing with, the
State Bar of Arizona. Attorneys who have limited jurisdiction and criminal court experience
are encouraged to apply. The Board of Governors is asked to submit three nominations per
opening to the respective city councils for their
consideration and ultimate appointment.
